Vampire Diaries Stars Promise “Jam-Packed, Full of Blood” Finale Tonight!

We just caught up Vampire Diaries stars Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder, who promised a bloody good finale—including “people dying, new vampires, shocks and cliffhangers.” Perfect! That’s just how we wanted to start our Thursday morning.

It’s not all gloom and doom, though—especially for you Vampire Diaries shippers out there…

The always lovely Nina and Ian were nice enough to breakdown all things ahead on our favorite hour of vampy goodness (sorry, True Blood!), so we’ll let them take it away:

Finale Freak-Out: Things are not looking too peachy for the Mystic Falls folks going into tonight’s first-season finale. “It is so unbelievably jam-packed, so much happens,” says Nina. “Every episode ends with a massive cliffhanger.” But, Ian tells us, “the finale has seven or eight ‘oh my god’ moments–cliffhangers. People are going to die, there are going to be more vampires in town. It will not disappoint, but it will upset some. And some characters are going to step out of their comfort zones and do things that are normally uncharacteristic of themselves.”

Best Christmas Gifts For Mom

Shopping for mom can be hit or miss if you don’t have a good guide to start with. . If you are like me you have a hard time knowing what to buy Mom during the holiday. Moms are very sentimental creatures and in most cases it’s the thought that counts. Personalized or Hand Crafted Gifts may be the way to go. I’ve seen some of these lists with underwear as a present. Dude I don’t know about you but underwear shopping for your mom strikes me as kind of creepy.

Like most of us, I don’t have much time for Arts and Crafts, and really Arts and Crafts are so kindergarten. Personalize gifts always great and says, Mom I thought about you when I bought this gift. But really if I buy my Mom another personalized coffee mug I think she’d kill me. You can thank me for this later; I’ve been doing some research and I’ve compile a list of the 10 most wanted Christmas gifts for parents. This list was compiled from Amazon’s bestsellers.

Interview With Jennifer’s Body Director Karyn Kusama

Io9.com has a really good interview with Karyn Kusama director of the upcoming horror film Jennifer Body starring Meagan Fox. I am actual looking forward to this movie, as we all are. Any opportunity to see Meagan’s body is one that should be certainly cherished. Is the real terror in the story is the co-dependent toxic relationship between two girls?

Check out this except from the interview:

  • There’s been this new study out that says women watch more horror movies than men. Do you think that’s accurate? What do you think about that?

I think actually women were probably always going to horror movies, we just weren’t measuring it as religiously as we do now. I think it’s a human condition to identify with being scared. There is something about the narrative of flight and survival that I think is very compelling for women. I find it very compelling. I don’t watch all of the horror that’s out there, because one, there’s so much of it and two some of it is a little less emotionally engaging for me than others. I think there is something about watching women, well women and men, but often times young people fighting for their lives – it’s a very compelling story. It’s a way to deposit all of our anxieties about our own life. Particularly if those anxieties are more mundane but they feel like life and death. It’s a way to articulate those anxieties in a safe place like a theater.
